Hope everyone’s day is going well! It is quite interesting to muse over the variations and parallels of each city in the nation-- in all municipal matters. In the same way, each youth council is different yet many times we find ourselves in the same plights. So today I ask for your opinions and suggestions. My youth council in Olathe has now realized how giving each member a specific role will maintain interest and a sense of belonging which results in a successful teen council. It does fall on our lap after all. Making sure each one of us with our various talents and qualifications receives a shot at making decisions and permanently impacting our city, has proven to be quite a challenge. I am interested in knowing more about how each of your youth councils accommodates its members in order to make sure everybody is being an active participant yet still keeping it fun and appealing?
